"Art of the Garden" Questions

CAN GICLEES BE INCLUDED?
As the focus of the project is to raise money for the library, the Friends of the HTFL would like to see as much work sold as possible, and have purposefully kept their commission at 20% to facilitate that process. In light of that, giclees might move faster than originals. If someone wants to buy the original, they can always inquire about it. Also, by including giclees, if one sells, it can be replaced with another copy. Please indicate that the piece is a giclee rather than the original on the form if including giclees.

“Art of the Garden” 

 April 8, 2011 –June 21, 2011

All artists are invited to apply to a special exhibition, “Art of the Garden,” a group show of 150 artworks on the theme of Gardens, to serve as the second annual event of its kind to be held at the Haverford Township Free Library.

“Sowing the Seeds of a New Library” is the cause for which artists are sought, who will donate 20% of the purchase price of their sold artworks, to the library’s upkeep, seriously curtailed in the last two years by a 33% budget cut totaling more than $300,000.00.

As Haverford Township’s only library and an essential social hub to an active and cultured population of all age ranges, the HTFL is the perfect gateway to a diverse new audience of collectors and viewers for local, national and international artists.
